From the sovereign red grape variety of the Sicilian lands, from grapes selected with care and dedication, Granduca Nero d'Avola is born, a wine with a strong personality, capable of combining history, traditions and sensations of a harsh and generous land, full of strength and vitality.

The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September; once they arrive in the cellar, their vinification begins with a prolonged maceration on the skins and an equally long fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature.

At the end of the malolactic fermentation process, the wine is placed in French oak barriques where it will spend a long period of refinement, which will end with bottling and aging in glass for a further 2 years. The oenologists' commitment is repaid, year after year, by the result of their work: a wine with a remarkable evolutionary capacity, which continues to receive recognition and appreciation from consumers from all over the world.

Deep ruby ​​red in color, it expresses an elegant complex of aromas of currants and blueberries on the nose, notes of licorice and tobacco tones. The taste is powerful, consistent, characterized by a slight acidity and a tannin that is always the protagonist.

It goes perfectly with very spicy second courses, marinated and smoked meats, excellent with a good chicken curry, to try with hot pepper chocolate.

It can age for several years at a temperature of 10°C in the absence of light.
